Self-Sustainability Grant Request

The Women’s Fund of East Tennessee (WFET) is now accepting Self-Sustainability grant requests. WFET is guided by the vision “every woman self-sustaining” and driven by the mission to “be a catalyst to transform the lives of low-income women and girls in East Tennessee.” Self-sustainability grants are designed to strengthen this mission and vision in WFET’s 25-county service area. This opportunity is privately funded and intended to fill a specific need or provide additional services for your organization in order to better serve your clients.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

To be considered for WFET funding, the proposing organization must.

  • Provide confirmation that the organization is a 501(c)(3) public charity, unit of government, or public educational institution; and
  • Have a service area in one or more counties in WFET’s 25-county service area.

Grant funding may be used for program expenses, staffing, travel, materials, and/or general operations. No funds may be used for capital improvements, unless such improvements are essential to programs and program delivery. This new policy is in recognition of the damage many non-profits in our service area suffered from the hurricane.

Selection Process

The Women’s Fund of East Tennessee (WFET) is now accepting Self-Sustainability grant requests from September 1 – September 30, 2025. Please include any documents that better tell your organization’s story, mission, and impacts, resources you’ve created, reports on generating awareness, or any other relevant materials.
