MEET OUR STAFF

Kirby Deal, Executive Director

Kirby Deal currently serves as the Executive Director for the Women’s Fund of East Tennessee. Kirby originally began her nonprofit work with a local nonprofit organization as a Program Facilitator where she educated young girls to be strong, smart, and bold. From this position, she grew to Director of Development of Girls Inc. of TN Valley and eventually Executive Director. During her tenure with Girls Inc., Kirby worked to diversify fundraising and create new revenue streams by creating valuable community partnerships and relationships and helped grow the organization from a smaller local nonprofit serving two counties to a regional organization that serves over 1,300 girls annually in a variety of programs across Anderson, Blount, and Knox counties in East Tennessee. Kirby has served as the Executive Director of the Women’s Fund since June 2022 and is passionate about the work to break down barriers for low-income women and girls. She is dedicated to helping the organization reach its goal of a $6M endowment in order to increase grant funding and programming for nonprofit organizations that focus on direct service. Kirby earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Tennessee Wesleyan University.
