Welcome, Katie!

The Women’s Fund of East Tennessee welcomes Katie Starnes, who joined the WF team this fall as Communications Intern. An MS student at The University of Tennessee, Katie is pursuing an MS degree in Advertising. Katie has a BA in Communication received in 2014 from the University of Tennessee and currently works for CVS/Caremark corporation as a Customer Care Supervisor. Since her arrival in September, Katie has been assisting with updating the Women’s Fund website, coordinating social media efforts, and marketing the community outreach.

Katie learned about the Women’s Fund internship opportunity through the University of Tennessee and is serving as a wonderful asset to the WF team. Katie values the Women’s Fund vision and appreciates the positive effect the organization has on women and girls in East Tennessee.

Katie is a native of Bristol, TN, and has lived in Knoxville, Tennessee with her husband since she began her education at at UT nearly six years ago. She enjoys traveling and exploring the sights of Knoxville.
