Lonsdale Career Day

On May 9, 2019, the Women’s Fund Advocacy Committee partnered with Lonsdale Elementary School to host a Career Day. The Advocacy Committee gathered over 30 professionals from diverse careers in our community who spent the day talking with 400 elementary school students about their futures. The students at Lonsdale had a great time asking questions and talking with professionals about what they wanted to be when they grow up. Kori Lautner, the Community School Resource Coordinator said that this was her favorite day of the school year.

This day would not have been possible without the generosity of many organizations and professionals from our community who donated their time to make this event such a success!

The Executive Director/CDO’s primary responsibilities are to secure funding to increase the Endowment and Self-Sustainability Fund, oversee grantee selection in both funding channels (SWSF Network and Self-Sustainability), and distribute grant funding.
